Peace Statue Pétanque Terrain

Welcome to Brighton and Hove Pétanque Club (established c1995).

We’re based at the Peace Statue terrain on the seafront by Meeting Place café (opposite Embassy Court). It’s one of the biggest and best terrains in the country, set in an unrivalled location. We’re also very fortunate to benefit from a fully-equipped clubhouse with a kitchen and toilet facilities.

We warmly welcome players of all ages and standards, from beginners to aspiring champions. We offer a full and varied programme of social and competitive events.

When Do We Meet?

  • Saturday and Sunday from 1pm (winter) or 2pm (summer)
  • Wednesday from 6pm (when daylight)

In 2013 our members were involved in the top two teams in the 8-team squad representing Sussex Petanque (SXP) at the English Pétanque Association (EPA) Inter-Regional Championship. Our players were also SXP Triples champions and runners-up in the Mixed Doubles and Shooting championships.

Past President of the club, Tony Mann, is currently National Secretary of the EPA.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any query about pétanque or our club.
