Alfred-Maynard Fail To Win EPA Over-50s Doubles Championship

David A and Ian were the club’s only representatives at this annual event (which our club has hosted several times) held in Gravesend with 43 teams present. Unfortunately, our boys were unable to reach the semi-final as they did last year.

Coming second in their league, winning one game out of three but with a reasonable points difference, they joined another 15 teams in the Plate. However, they lost the next game (“which they coulda won”), to return home empty-handed.  At this early stage, it’s not known how long David A and Ian will take to recover from this salutary experience – even though the weather was very nice.

  1. Tony says:

Well done for being the club’s best (and worst) performing team at the EPA Over 50s Doubles……

  2. Thanks, Tony. It’s good to cover all the bases!
