Hayward and Taylor Win First Women’s Doubles Comp.

Undaunted by yet more poor weather, six teams turned out for the club’s first ever Women’s Doubles competition on Saturday 7 July. Four rounds were played in a ‘snake’ format.

Congratulations to the winners, Margie Hayward and Trish Taylor, the only team to win all four games.

Libby Knowles and Ann Wordsworth came second while Gaby Channing and Di Cherrie came third.

Well done to them and to all who participated, including Harvey Knowles who organised the competition that proved to be a popular innovation in the club’s calendar.
